Say hello to our latest team member Keith Kitchen:
“Hi I’m Keith and I’m 49. I started mountain biking 25 years or so ago and love everything two-wheeled. Most of this time has been spent riding and falling off on the trails around my home in Barnsley, Yorkshire, further afield around ‘Gods Own County’ and the various trail centres that have sprung up over those years. Love riding natural trails and a good day out can see me ride from home out to the Peak District around Hope and Castleton.
I got the competitive bug about 5 years ago and have found that I love riding the longer endurance events. Have done a couple of solo 24 hour races the last being Mountain Mayhem this year where I got talking to Budge and Sally on the start line. The support from trackside by Team JMC, even though they had only met me was brilliant, and helped me to 18th in the Solo Male category and made me realise that this was a team I would love to ride for.
As I move into my 50th year in January 2017 I am looking to enter more events and if , with the support of Team JMC, I can improve my results that will be great. Come say hello if you see me out and about.”
We are always happy to welcome new team members and everyone is welcome no matter what level of ability. Our motto is “Talent Optional, Enthusiasm Essential”. We keep it simple with no fees or forms.
