It seems incredible that the Windcheetah recumbent trike has now been manufactured continuously for almost 30 years. The Windcheetah is still seen by cycling enthusiasts all over the world as the ultimate recumbent tricycle enjoying a loyal customer base stretching all over the globe.
From its early origins in Norfolk in the 1980s the Windcheetah, or ‘Speedy’ as it was originally called, started out life as a winter training vehicle for recumbent cyclists. Since then the Windcheetah has evolved into a beautiful handmade vehicle with every aspect of its design focused towards high performance. Numerous speed and endurance records have been set by the Windcheetah and its designer Mike Burrows is widely acknowledged as one of the most creative and innovative cycle designers of modern times.
Please take some time to browse the website and look into the fascinating history of the Windcheetah. The site will take you through the complex manufacturing process which goes into the creation of each Windcheetah, explaining how each one is handmade for its owner. Windcheetah production is strictly limited and with an annual worldwide allocation of just 60 units.

Top local bike shop run by some of the friendliest people. Also home to a number of great bike racers.
Sarah and Shaun bought Mike Cookson Cycles in January 2009, forming Cookson Cycles, with Mike retiring after 30 years of hardwork building a great business. The store specialises in Trek, Lapierre, Giant, Mongoose, GT and We The People bikes, with a huge range of parts, clothing and accessories. Sarah joined the business new to the cycle industry, having spent a number of years in private equity backed global manufacturing industries.
After years of travelling she decided to give it up and go on a bike to work instead of a plane. Sarah rides a Trek Top Fuel 9.8 and a Trek 6.5 Madone road bike. Shaun had worked at Mike Cookson Cycles for 12 years before taking the leap into ownership with Sarah. Shaun is the main man when it comes to sales, and is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to specifications of the bikes. Shaun rides a Trek 9.8, Trek Top Fuel 9.8, Project One Madone 6.7, Trek 1.9 Road bike. Shaun is often seen at most of the race events.

We’re into cycle racing and great lightweight components, stuff that will help you zoom up and down hills.
We deal with some of the world’s best manufacturers, get product, test it, ride it, race it, refine it and race it some more. If it’s good enough we’ll offer it at a great price.
Don’t be misled by our low prices, you’d be paying twice as much in the shops with the traditional distribution chain. We’re bringing it to you pretty direct, cutting out middlemen.
If you need a tin to put soap or potpourri in we don’t do it. Our products are pretty naked. We have minimal packaging, so they’re better value and we get a warm feeling inside doing a little bit for the environment.

Our knitted hats are stocked in Europe and Japan and our custom design portfolio extends from global brands such as Warner Records and Hope Technology to the National Trust for Scotland and Scotland’s First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon.
