We had a few team members at our annual trip to the Cheshire Sprint Triathlon last weekend – lots of fun, a few personal bests and an overall win (no prizes for guessing who got the win).
In his relay team with a combined age of 138, Andrew Burgess was pleased with their 6th place and commented, “Will certainly be giving it another go next year as it is a great event, in an ideal location, very well organised and with a great atmosphere.”
Paul Bowie beat his previous personal best by a whopping 3 minutes and finished 81st overall. Daniel Robinson finished in a creditable 262nd in spite of a hamstring injury and being scared of cold water and Tommy Shaw beat his target to finish in 1 hour 37 minutes.
Finally, in case you hadn’t guessed, Alex Lawton won the event and set a new course record.
