“13 miles and 1400ft of muddy moorland ascent with every farmers style we can possibly find for you to jump over” – oh go on then I’m in.
The Rivington Pike Half Marathon is a very well organised chip timed event with a much larger entry than I had envisaged, plus great support and marshalling along the main trails.
A full marathon option was also available on the same day but I pretended I hadn’t read that bit.
I finished in 34th place out of 321 finishers, in a time of 1 hour 43 mins.
Highly recommended for giving your trainers that authentic fell running look.
